Calibration sleeve with coolneck
Update technical information
Rollepaal improved the calibration sleeve to realize higher outputs and limit the change of irregularities on the pipe during production. With the normal calibration sleeve (pictures on the left) water is sprayed directly on the pipe when entering the calibration sleeve creating a waterfilm between the pipe and sleeve. This can result in irregularities on the pipe.
With the new designed calibration sleeve (pictures on right) with coolneck the pipe is not cooled with water when entering the sleeve. To cool down the pipe properly water is sprayed on the outside of the calibration sleeve. With this the pipe gets 'frozen' which results in a hard outer layer. Because of this the pipe gets really smooth and shiny without irregularities.
